Workshop abstract

Identify, investigate, and incubate valuable ideas by applying design thinking.

This full-day workshop with Chris will give you the key skills and confidence to use design thinking to enable you to spot opportunities, generate ideas and pitch them to potential investors. By the end of the day, you will have gone through a structured series of practical hands-on activities to help you create innovative solutions for digital products and services. The mix of individual and group activities have been tried, tested, and refined on numerous client projects.

During the day you will:

  • Discover the power of design thinking to imagine future possibilities.
  • Find out how to spot and evaluate opportunities for innovation.
  • Be introduced to ways to articulate and re-frame the problem to solve.
  • Undertake guerilla research to discover the goals and needs of the target audience.
  • Create and build upon your ideas using sketches and prototypes.
  • Communicate and pitch your ideas.

This workshop is aimed at anyone who wishes to gain a structured framework to create innovative digital products and services. You do not need to consider yourself a designer or have any prior design skills. You will need to be prepared to roll your sleeves up and get involved with fun activities.
